There are 26 unique beaches on the island to explore. The west coast is home to long stretches of sandy beaches running below some majestic cliffs, whereas the east coast has more sheltered bays and coves.

There is a lot of history to be discovered on Lefkada island such as the basilica churches, the fort of Agia Mavra, the windmills of Gira and a number of museums and libraries.

Lefkada has a noteworthy culinary tradition. The island has a number of tavernas, restaurants, coffee shops, beach and cocktail bars that you can enjoy.

The most popular waterfall on the island is known as Dimossari waterfall.   It can be found on the outskirts of Nydri and is perfect for refreshing dips on those hot summer days.
